Roof Cleaning That Protects Your Home.
Moss, algae and lichen don’t just look bad. They hold moisture against your tiles, lift them in frost and block your gutters. We remove the lot safely, with no damaging high pressure, and treat your roof to keep it cleaner for longer.
A Mossy Roof Costs More Than It Looks.
South Wales weather is perfect for moss: damp, mild and shaded. Left alone, it shortens the life of your roof and works its way into everything below it.
Trapped Moisture
Moss acts like a sponge, holding water against tiles. In winter that water freezes, expands and cracks the surface.
Lifted & Slipped Tiles
Thick moss growth pushes under tile edges, letting wind and rain get beneath your roofline.
Blocked Gutters
Loose moss washes straight into gutters and downpipes, causing overflows and damp walls.
Kerb Appeal & Value
The roof is the biggest surface on your home. A clean roof transforms how the whole property looks, and sells.
Safe, Step-by-Step Roof Cleaning.
Survey & Quote
We assess your roof type, condition and access, then give you a clear fixed price. No surprises.
Manual Moss Removal
Moss and debris are removed by hand and scraped carefully, never blasted off with high pressure.
Soft Wash & Biocide Treatment
A low-pressure soft wash with professional biocide kills remaining spores at the root, so regrowth is dramatically slowed.
Gutters Cleared & Full Tidy-Up
We clear your gutters of any debris and leave your driveway, paths and garden exactly as we found them.
Why We Never High-Pressure Wash Roofs.
High-pressure jetting strips the protective surface from tiles, forces water under your roofline and can void manufacturer guarantees. It makes the roof look clean for a season, and ages it by years.
Our soft washing approach uses the right pressure for the job, low and gentle where a roof calls for it, combined with professional-grade treatments to clean thoroughly and inhibit regrowth. It’s the same method we’re trusted to use on render, cladding and commercial buildings across South Wales.

One Roof, Two Halves.
No trick photography here. This is the same roof, mid-clean. Moss and years of growth still on one side, clean tiles on the other.

Roof Cleaning Questions, Answered.
How long do the results last?
With a biocide treatment applied after cleaning, most roofs stay visibly clean for several years. Regrowth depends on shade, trees and local conditions. We’ll give you an honest picture for your property during the survey.
Will it damage my tiles?
No. We remove moss by hand and use low-pressure soft washing only. We never use high-pressure jetting on roofs, which is the most common cause of tile damage in roof cleaning.
Do I need to do anything before you arrive?
Just clear access to the areas around your home if possible. We bring everything else, protect surfaces below the work area and tidy up fully before we leave.
How much does roof cleaning cost?
It depends on the size, pitch, condition and access of your roof, so we quote each job individually. Quotations are always free and there’s no obligation. Call us or send a couple of photos to get started.
Which areas do you cover?
We’re based in Newport and cover South Wales including Cwmbran and Cardiff. For larger projects, especially roof cleaning, we work nationwide, so wherever you are it’s always worth getting in touch.
